wrecking yard researching rust; sedan wheel arches

whenever I am at the wrecking yards, I like to research rust patterns, so I can treat and protect my own vehicles.

here's the inner and outer views of the rear wheel arch on a sedan.

pull away the felt trunk liner to see tthedriver side filler door cavity and seam welds that fail and then encourage moisture to seep in, with nowhere to drain until holes appear.

apply fluid film in this area of your car and let it flow by gravity down the wheel arch cavity contour, down to the rocker will panel, before it's too late!
