I have replaced the (very likely to be leaking) condenserand got it refilled yesterday.
This valve has been making noise before though.

Hissing noise at the expansion valve is not unusual. The high pressure liquid refrigerant is turning into low pressure liquid along with some flash gas so the boiling of the refrigerant will create some noise. The noise tends to be louder when undercharged (at least up to a point) since there will be more vapor and less liquid on the low side of the expansion valve.

If it was charged correctly and the performance matches that in the factory manual no reason to be concerned about the noise.

I missed that you had mentioned the charge weight. Yes it should have been closer to 500 grams.

Went back and asked for 700 because that is what it needs.
Now there is no noise and it blows proper cold
