OK-- so I was wrong on the temp switch and I may still need more freon added a few weeks ago when it was running I took the temp sensor wire off/on/off/on and it would turn the a/c system off/on accordingly so I assumed it was working properly I just grounded the temp lead ( after I re-installed the pressure switch leads) and it turned on the system so It looks like I need a new temp sensor and maybe more freon too. where can I find that temp sensor ---and is it going to hurt anything if I leave it grounded so my system works while I wait for the part to come in? Sensor: Airtex 1T1001 And, no, you can ground it... Just keep an eye on your temp gauge... If you start to get near the red on the Temp gauge shut down the A/C,(of course if your temp gauge gets that hot shut the Metro off). |
