So I have a 94 Geo Metro that the AC works, blows cold, but when the heat(90+ degrees) is on the compressor kicks on and off quickly. Also if I stop the car and then start it again within a half hour the compressor only comes on a few times, then kicks off completely. I recently had it evacuated and refilled so it is cold. If the temperature is more nominal(70 to 80 degrees) then it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Just my .02ยข... Check the air flow from the Condenser fan and clean/wash out the condenser core fins... 134a is a heavy freon and doesn't like high temps... If there is insufficient air flow through the condenser core the head pressure gets to high and the system shuts down to prevent damaging the compressor... |
