My mpg numbers

ok so i finally got time to figure out my mpg in the 2000,,,,,

7.8 gallons to fill up since last one,went 305 miles

so im figuring it to be 39.1
not bad for a auto 4 cyl......of course i baby it,nothing more then 60 on the highway,and i dont stomp on it....

much much better then my 94 ford :shit f150 6 cyl auto i was getting like 13 mpg :banghead

That is still better than most automatic cars out there, so even with a slushbox, these are still great on fuel.

it was a straight 6 300 m motor and i tuned it up,did everything i could think of to make it better,but i only drive 4 miles or so to work,so likely this is the reason,but i dont miss that truck at all.............

I used to work in a shipyard and 2 of our forklifts had the 300 ci ford 6 cylinders in them. They were pretty study but they never did get any kind of mileage. We rebuilt them about ever 18 month or so. sometimes.we could make two years. 8 to 10 hours a day, 6 days a week takes a toll on them. I guess i rebuilt them or exchanged engines about 10 times(each) while I worked there. Like Bon2000 I dont miss them either :drivin :evillol
