Did they ever make a wiper for these hatch-backs? Drove in the first snow with this car and man the road grime just collects like mad on the back window. Worse than the camper-shell on my truck. Wish I had a pasenger side mirror this car never had one. Better still a way to keep the back window clean enough to see behind me.

Yeah, they made them. Mostly an LSI feature. Very prone to rust and other failure problems. Best bet for keeping the rear window clear is to mount a spoiler at the top of the hatch that will be curved down to direct airflow down across the back window. This keeps the spray from getting to the window. You can get some universal types from JC Whitney. I just live with mine. I keep a bucket with squeege and window wash in the shop at home and wash them when they get dirty. |

I use a squeegee also. I thought of doing some sort of wiper install, but figured it would be too much hassle. |

The one I have has absolutely no accessories (save for my aftermarket baseline radio, which doesn't support the FM or AM functions due to bad antenna, I think.) whatsoever. Eventually when I get the money and enough desire, I'm going to go all-out. Here's the list of what I want: Intermittent wiper blades AIR CONDITIONING Cruise Control Rear disc brakes Rear wiper Rear Defrogger "Special" Carburetor (the one that the oil companies don't want anyone to have) 13" rims (for my 93) (maybe) 4 cylinder engine upgrade with 5 speed manual x-mission A guy can dream, can't he? |

On that list, the "Special" Carburetor (the one that the oil companies don't want anyone to have) is the only part I see that implies dreaming

Since I'm in an engineering course at a technical college, maybe I could research how those things work...

I did some quick research. Some guy named David Steckling says he has a CD that shows 900 patents on the 200 mpg carb. Many patents have expired, so anyone can build them. Of course, when I tried to go to his page (http://fuelvapors.com/) I got some web hosting advertisment. Figures, doesn't it? |
